The Legislative Committee links governmental officials to the human resources community and disseminates information on federal, state and local legislative activity to the membership of the Society of Human Resource Management of Greater Tucson.

The committee strives to:

  • Identify future human resources issues, needs and goals, by involving the membership and their organizations;
  • Develop "positions" on state and local legislative issues and influence the membership to work within their organizations to have an impact on upcoming Arizona legislation;
  • Educate a network of members to be called upon for influencing calls and letters to legislators;
  • Initiate and sponsor legislation that will proactively impact the goals and objectives of the members' organizations; and
  • Positively influence national legislation through SHRM of Greater Tucson support on SHRM legislative positions.

Make your voice heard about important policy issues.  Sign up as an activist with Legislative Affairs, and offer your opinion to decision makers on key issues.
