This1.5 hour Zoom webinar will discuss the recent U.S. Supreme Court’s Bostock v. Clayton County ruling that concluded sexual orientation and transgender identity discrimination is illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights of 1964.  The Court supported its conclusion by discussing the history of sex discrimination in employment law and analyzing past Supreme Court decisions dealing with sex discrimination in employment. That history and past Court decisions will be discussed in this webinar.

What employers need to do to comply with the Court’s decision will also be part of the webinar. Q&A will be permitted during the presentation. Some questions may be reserved for the end of the presentation.

Dave has a background of 20+ years of HR experience and 10+ years providing employment law advice to employers of all sizes in all industries. He has an interest in keeping employers legally compliant while encouraging operational effectiveness.

He teaches HR and Business Law courses for Grand Canyon University and Northern Arizona University. He also serves as the SHRM Student Chapter of UOPX—Phoenix Chapter Practitioner Advisor.

He received his BA (Psychology) from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
and his law degree from University of Denver.
