We want YOU

Current Committee Needs

HRM Foundation Committee

The SHRM Foundation committee’s goal is to educate the chapter on the Foundation’s newest educational resources, status of annual Foundation campaigns, and any upcoming events. With a strong desire to develop collaboration and support in Southern Arizona, the committee seeks to partner with non-profits in the community for cooperative events and outside volunteer opportunities.

This committee is looking for someone who would love the opportunity to be the Director of the committee and be the liaison between SHRM-GT and the SHRM Foundation.

Contact:          Heather Karp •

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee provides professional speakers and sponsors for the chapter’s monthly meetings and plans the special events held during the year. This includes the annual Employment Law Update; half-day legal/legislative update; National speaker; and speakers for the annual awards program. In addition, the committee supports SHRM-GTs community outreach by partnering with other organizations on special speakers and events. A key responsibility of the committee is to vet all presenters to ensure a professional and learning environment at all events and to adhere to the recertification criteria of both certifying organizations. This is essential to our members retaining their professional certification in the HR community.
