Learning Objectives:

As HR People, we are here to HELP PEOPLE. All of us are leaders, and it’s our responsibility to create a more inclusive and welcoming workplace regardless of anyone’s personal opinion.

Michelle will lead this seminar by:

  1.      Giving her story of why she does this work
  2.      Help us to see that bias and stereotypes are part of being human; they don’t make people “bad”—however, unrecognized bias can interfere with all of our hard work towards promoting diversity and inclusion.
  3.      WHY this is important—what micro aggressions might look like at work, why they tear at the fiber of our work environment and how they are destructive
  4.      HOW to deal with such uncomfortable or difficult situations, in really simple manageable ways.

Some Take-away’s:

  •          Various options on how to address micro aggressions
  •          The script that can be used to address micro aggressions
  •          Insight to be able to be more vigilant and spot micro aggressions in the workplace
